I haven’t been to Ballarat in ages and it really was a great spot for this wedding. Catherine went to Loreto College which was where the gorgeous ceremony was held. The chapel and grounds were breathtaking and it must have been extra special to Catherine to get married at the place she so much time as a young lady. She made for a gorgeous bride and I love the lace detail which made the diamond shape keyhole in the back of the dress. I also loved her touch of green shoes- who says they have to be white?
David looked quite nervous as his stunning bride walked down the aisle to greet him. Her and her Dad were setting such a cracking pace too- I had to whisper to them to ‘slow down!’.
We went from the church to Lake Wendouree for some pics after the ceremony. The light was amazing! The sky was covered with whispy clouds and created the perfect soft golden effect- I really wish the light was like that more often. We then found the fabulous Castrol sign and cherry red corrigated iron shed on our drive from Ballarat to Daylesford which we just had to stop at and I’m glad we did.
Their gorgeous reception was held at Sault Restaurant Daylesford which is an all time favourite venue of mine to shoot at. It’s stunning rows of lavendar and french style exterior make for a beautiful backdrop for photos every single time.
Big thanks to Zowie Crump for helping a preggo lady out with this one. She did all the stair climbing I couldn’t hack and kept me chatting and giggling all day- (not to mention of fabulous little visit to the gorgeous Ballarat Patchwork in which we both spent a small fortune!)
Enjoy!
