gary & justine’s wedding {daylesford wedding photography}

Week after week I see and photograph couples in love. Something was a little different with these two. It seems they were even more in love than your average couple or perhaps it was just that their love seems stronger because of the way they looked at each other. Their wedding dance photos sums up these feelings for me. The whole world could have crumbled away at that very moment and Gary & Justine wouldn’t have even noticed….

The day began at a house I had been very much looking forward to photographing- for quite some time now so I was thrilled when Justine told me she had booked it.  At the time it was called The Lark House – since then it has changed hands and is now called Piccadilly House and I’m thrilled to hear it can still be hired out for accomodation in gorgeous Daylesford. The Lark House was called as such because it was created by the owners of Lark- one of my favourite shops in the whole world which happens to be in Daylesford. If you are ever there you must pop in for a look or just check out their website to be impressed! It was the perfect backdrop for photos of Justine getting ready. I love the moment when Justine’s Dad saw her for the first time and she was wearing her Mum’s veil which must have made the moment even more special.

The wedding ceremony and reception were all held at Sault Restaurant– one of my favourites wedding venues in all of Victoria. The building and grounds are just devine and always make for amazing photos- not to mention the fantastic food and staff that come with it. They always take pescially good care of me and with bub on board- it’s appreciated even that bit more.

Gary & Justine had a locket they locked together with seperate hearts engraved with their initials on and the keys to the locket were tied to balloons and were carried off into the sky. I hadn’t seen that before and it was great!

We wandered around Sault for most of our photos and then popped in Daylesford briefly for some shots outside the always lovely Frangos & Frangos before heading back to the start of the reception.

I loved some of Justine’s crafty details- she admitted she was addicted to Etsy for awhile and ordered several things for the wedding from there including the LOVE cushions, the Mrs & Mr signs and the lips and moustache props. Very cute! I am a lover of Etsy myself…

These two are no doubt madly in love and I hope these photos really show that. They were just lovely to photograph and I was thrilled to be a part of their special day.

Thanks to my brother Jim for helping me out with this one- as I had a rapidly growing tum tum by this time. You can check out his photography work under Speed Shop Photography on Facebook.

Enjoy!
