baby as art workshop {newborn photography}

Here is something I have been dying to blog but only just getting around to it now. It is the crazy season after all!

About a month ago I attended a 2 day workshop run by those amazing girls from Baby As Art. I have been following their work for many years now and when I heard they were coming to Australia I jumped at the chance to learn from the very best in newborn photographers. If you don’t know anything about them- Baby As Art is made up of two photographers- Carrie Sandoval and Brittany Woodall. They are like the ‘rockstars’ of the newborn photography industry. Speaking of rockstars- their work is so in demand that they photographed Pink and her little baby! Cool hey??

The couple of days I spent with them changed my life. It confirmed to me that going into the future I will be specialising in newborn photography and shooting a very limited amount of weddings.

Here are some action shots and final photos of some of what we covered at the workshop. It was non-stop. We photographed 6 babies in 2 days and the girls shared al their secrets and tips with us and we soaked up everything we could. It was exhausting and mind blowing.

Thanks heaps girls for the inspiration and being so down to earth. We loved having you here in Australia and hope you return soon.

I have had a couple of newborn shoots since this workshop which I will be blogging soon- including my first ever newborn outdoor session photograped at a lavendar farm. I’m really thrilled with the results and can’t wait to share them too.

Enjoy!
