Ian and Sian’s day was always going to be a great one. No one epected it to be 40 degrees though! Ok- well I think it only hit 39 deg but that was hot enough.
The official bridal car couldn’t handle the heat and actually caught fire on the way to collect the bride. I’m just so glad it didn’t happen after she had been collected- that really would have been a disaster.
Fortunately- the entire wedding was held at Ian’s family property in Riddells Creek and the place was covered in shade- which was a blessing for everyone- especially this photographer with the in-built oven on board.
Ian and Sian met when they were at high school and haven’t looked back. It was an emotional day- especially for Sian and her family. Sian’s Mum is no longer with us but I’m sure she was there in spirit.
All the elements came together to make this a stunning wedding. Sian’s Marianna Hardwick dress, the welcoming feel of the family property and the small touches like the vases hanging from the trees and the wooden sign with their names and wedding date on it.
There was a sign on the pool requesting guests didn’t go in until the BBQ the next day- I wonder if they managed to stick to it….. it looked sooooo tempting!
Enjoy!
